About Steven

As a Richmond Virginia based commercial photographer I love to create meaningful images that tell a story and convey a message. Great photographs persuade us. They draw us in and make us want something. People are my passion so I specialize in portraits, advertising, corporate, fitness and anything else that involves us humans in our environment. If it's interesting, creative, or adventurous you can pretty much be assured I want to be a part of it. I’m also an entrepreneur myself, starting many photography related businesses including WedMatch, a site for couples to get matches with local wedding photographers.

My personality borders somewhere between buzzing excitement for perfection and one of the most laid back and easy going people you've ever met. You'll get some combination of both on every project.

My process is pretty simple: I'm here to help bring your vision to life. If you don't have a vision that's great too, we'll brainstorm and come up with one together. I'm just as comfortable working with a well defined shot list as I am developing one on my own that tells your story in the most compelling way. In the end my goal is to give you exactly what you want, even if you don't really know what that is yet. It will be well planned out, efficient, and fun. Why even bother if it's not going to be fun?
